NJMMAA/RENZO GRACIE DENVILLE....CLEAN SWEEP!!!!
Full Story:

Eric "Chin" Fleming set the tone of the night with the first bout against Lee Burrell. Lee came out swinging and hit Fleming with 2 big rights in the first 30 seconds, forcing Fleming to take it to the mat. From there, Eric went into what he does best, his jiu jitsu game, taking the remainder of the 1st round. In the beginning of the 2nd round, Eric came out with a flurry of punches and secured the takedown. Once on the ground Eric was reversed and put into guard but countered with his signature triangle attack, but  then Burrell tried to pick him up for a slam, thus allowing Eric to secure the leg for a sweep and put Burrell into position for the fight finishing arm lock.

Next up was Pat "The Caveman" Sullivan versus Pablo Zambrano. The fight started out with both Sullivan and Zambrano trading blows and ended with The Caveman securing the takedown. From there Pat dominated on the ground, taking Zambrano's back, but had trouble sinking the rear naked choke. The round ended saving Zambrano from the submission attempt. Round 2 started with some back and forth action on the feet, from there it was a grind back and forth, with both fighters locking up for takedown attempts. The round ended at an even keel with both fighters showing fatigue. In the beginning of the 3rd Sullivan showed his fighting spirit and picked up the pace by demonstrating great dirty boxing skills and takedown attempts, eventually grinding out the victory for a majority decision.

Main event for the night featured Alex "Doesn't" Bruzzese versus Ben Syers. This fight turned out to be one of the most technical fights of the evening. Round 1 started off with both fighters feeling each other out on the feet. Syers came out throwing heavy leather allowing Bruzzese to do what he does best, counter punching, and eventually securing the round with a takedown. In the beginning of round 2 Syers caught Bruzzese with a straight right sending him down to the canvas. Bruzzese recovered quickly which started an exchange on the feet, ending the round with Bruzzese pinning Syers against the cage. Knowing that round 2 was close, Bruzzese came out into round 3 looking to dominate. He came out throwing and secured the takedown and pinned Syers on the ground. From there Bruzzese proceeded to pass to the half guard and ground and pound his way to victory, scoring a unanimous decision from the judges.

All in all it was a great night of fights for NJMMAA/Renzo Gracie Denville.

Thank you to all the fans, training partners and coaches, without you none of this would be possible.
