| Question: How do I
get started? |
|
| Answer: You can either
call us, stop by, or send us an email. Go to the
contact page, or the "Join Us" page to find out how. |
|
| Question: What do I
need for my first class? |
|
| Answer: For
Kickboxing, any athletic clothing that is
comfortable will do. Shorts and a T-shirt, or sweats
are fine. For Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the same thing
goes, except we will have a gi waiting for you. Just
bring something to wear under it, like a T-shirt or
a rashguard. |
|
| Question: What should
I do before my first class? |
|
| Answer: Make sure your
nails are trimmed, and proper hygiene is maintained.
Be respectful to students and instructors alike. Be
on time, and be ready to learn! |
|
| Question: What is a
typical class like? |
|
| Answer: For all of our
classes, we start off with a warm up designed to get
the blood pumping, and to get you ready for class.
Then from there, for Kickboxing we'll work on some
bag drills. And for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu we'll work
on a few moves back and forth with a partner about
the same size. At the end of BJJ we "roll", or
"go-live", where we put what we learned that day to
the test. And finally we end classes with some
stretches to reduce injury and provide a cool down. |
|
| Question: Are classes
safe? |
|
| Answer: Safety is
paramount. Sure, accidents can happen, but we've
re-invented the system to ensure safety for you and
students alike. |
